From the start, Jordan Tours has been committed to offering low-impact tours that benefit traveller and host alike. We work with local Bedouin communities, businesses and individuals to develop sustainable tourism opportunities that help local economies while minimizing negative environmental and cultural impacts.

 As a passenger on a Jordan Tours eco tour, this results in a more enjoyable and authentic travel experience. We believe that tourism should be about interacting with other cultures, not exploiting them. This could mean travelling with local people on public buses rather than looking at them through the window of a private tour bus; or staying at a small, locally- owned hotels rather than a large, foreign-owned hotel. It also means travelling in small groups that are less intrusive and offer more opportunity for local interaction.

 Part of Jordan Tours operating philosophy is to respect the local communities in which we operate. We do this by acting in a manner that is environmentally, socially and economically responsible. While our sustainable tourism policies are constantly evolving, our commitment to socially conscious, grassroots style travel has never changed.   Our Adventures 

 Jordan Tours. Adventures offers travellers a grassroots, small group adventure vacation, with a focus on culture, nature and active travel. Small international groups, excellent local guides, delicious local cuisine in Petra Kitchen owned by Jordan Tours, varied and interesting transportation, special destinations and charming local accommodation, all come together to create an authentic adventure experience. We offer a variety of adventures, from active outdoor adventures to wildlife expeditions. The diversity of our adventure vacations is second only to the diversity of the people and cultures you'll experience.

Group Size: 

 Travellers agree that group size is a very important factor in the enjoyment of their adventure vacation. People should be aware of the actual size of their groups before joining a 'small-group' holiday. Many companies advertise average sizes, but their maximum number could be considered a crowd. Jordan Tours Adventures operates most of our group adventures with a maximum of 10 to 18 travellers. While our maximum is low, our average is around 8 or 10, so you are sure to enjoy a small, personal group that won't crowd your experience. Our small group size is consistently stated as a major factor in the enjoyment of travelling with Jordan Tours Adventures.

It's All About the Tours!  

Getting there is not only half the fun...sometimes it can be a great adventure in itself! Over the years, we have found that the method of transportation significantly influences the tone of your trip. We use a variety of different transportation styles depending on the style of adventure vacation you choose. Utilizing local transportation allows for face-to-face interaction with the local people, providing an unmatched intimacy and sense of adventure. We utilize anything that moves if we think it will enhance the experience - bus, Taxi, van, Jeep Tours, yacht, camel ride, horseback, biking, and walking can be part of any typical day travelling with us. If this intimacy is a bit too much for you, our Classic Tours make use of private transportation and may be the ideal option. Jordan Tours Adventures also operates our own tours, giving us total control over how our expeditions are run. No matter what your adventure desire, Jordan Tours Adventures allows you to choose the level of cultural immersion and style of transport that best suits you and your family.

Accommodation! 

 To make the most of your adventure vacation, it is important to know that you will have a clean, comfortable place to sleep at the end of an exciting day. Our accommodations capture the essence of the local area and form an important part of your experience We take great care to choose locally - hotels that are brimming with charm and character with rooms with private facilities, a homestay with local villagers in Dhana old village, or a tent at nearly 4 meters with beds for the deluxe trips as well as other categories of camping. The special and remote nature of some of the places we visit means that some of the accommodation will be more comfortable, and some more rustic.  

Food! 

 Sampling the local cuisine is a BIG part of the travelling experience. We realize that everyone is different, and when it comes to food there are varying degrees of adventure! On a Jordan Tours Adventures vacation not all meals are included, as we want you to explore your tastes and try something new. Custom & Group Tours Special requests are not uncommon, so if you want your own tour, we can put together an adventure designed especially for you. For years we have been helping outdoor clubs, families, schools, companies, groups of friends and other specialty groups realize their dream adventures.
